B is an ultra-small full-wave regenerative driver that can control DC permanent magnet or Open excitation motor. Its four-quadrant operation provides forward and reverse torque in both directions of speed. Due to its excellent controllability and response time, B can replace servo motors in many applications. For armature feedback, the controller is set at the factory to provide load regulation within the motor base speed. Tachogenerator feedback is also provided, allowing for superior load regulation when required. A simple jumper setting converts B into a torque controller. In this way, the torque of the motor is controlled rather than the speed of the motor.
An important feature of this drive is the built-in adjustable motor current jumper that is calibrated at the factory. It eliminates the need for recalibration of valence compensation and current limiting in most uses. This controller contains an enable [B] function. The motor can be started or stopped electronically by the closing of a contact. By selecting a jumper, the motor can be controlled to quickly regenerate to a stop or coast to a stop. B's unique automatic suppression circuit provides safe and smooth starting even under rapid alternating current alternating current conditions. Overspeed protection circuitry prevents bridge failure under extreme overload conditions. The use of high-speed current limiting circuit and motor overload voltage instantaneous protection further enhances the reliability of B. Diagnostic LEDs are provided for power-on and motor overload.
