Material properties Steel is precipitation hardened steel, which is an intermetallic compound precipitation hardened ferritic steel with no phase change point. Its high temperature yield strength at ~℃ decreases gently with the increase of temperature, which is ~3 times higher than other steels. However, its high-temperature plasticity and high-temperature impact toughness are both low, so it is suitable for high-speed hammer hot working molds.
