1. Overview
Double-rotor flowmeter (hereinafter referred to as the flowmeter) is a new type of volumetric dual-rotor flowmeter with unique design and precision processing and assembly. A pair of spiral rotors are independent moving bodies in the measurement chamber, which play the role of dividing, measuring, transporting and excreting the measured liquid. This type of flowmeter has a positioning gear added to the structure so that the two rotors do not contact each other when rotating. The flow meter operates smoothly, has low noise, less wear, high accuracy, and strong viscosity adaptability. It can allow fine particles in the liquid to be measured to pass through, making it difficult to get stuck. This flowmeter has been electroless nickel-plated, so it is anti-corrosion and wear-resistant, and can replace the double-rotor flowmeter made of stainless steel.

2. Working Principle
As shown in the figure below, this flowmeter directly measures the volume of liquid flow through a pair of rotating special spiral rotors.
The measurement of fluid flow rate by the double rotor flowmeter is completed in the metering chamber. A pair of spiral rotors rotate under the pressure of the liquid, and the enclosed space (shaded part in the figure) formed between the rotor and the wall of the metering chamber discharges twice the shaded volume with each revolution. Therefore, according to this relationship, as long as the number of rotations of the rotor is measured, the cumulative flow rate can be calculated, and the instantaneous flow rate can be measured based on the number of revolutions per second.
