National Standard Spiral Steel Pipe Standard Content
/ Part 1 specifies non-alloy materials used to transport flammable fluids and non-flammable fluids (including water) in the oil and gas industry in terms of basic quality and test requirements (grades) Technical delivery conditions for seamless and welded steel pipes of steel and alloy steel (excluding stainless steel). This standard includes threaded and extra heavyweight threaded steel pipes without threads, extra light heavyweight unthreaded, ordinary heavyweight unthreaded, extra heavyweight unthreaded and extra heavyweight unthreaded steel pipes as well as socket and spigot steel pipes. The dimensional requirements of threads and thread gauges, measurement method requirements, technical requirements and calibration of gauges, instruments and methods for inspecting threads are given in, and/, and are applicable to the products covered by this standard. The steel grades covered by this standard are, and and intermediate grades between those listed in the table and the higher grades. As shown in the table, the ordinary heavyweight unthreaded and special light heavyweight unthreaded steel pipes, as well as the threaded steel pipes with nominal dimensions larger than (see table), are marked as outer diameter. For other steel pipes, the size marking is the nominal size of the steel pipe. In each chapter of the main text of this standard, wherever the size boundary (or size range) of the steel pipe is specified, unless it is noted as the nominal size, it refers to the outer diameter size. These outer diameter dimension lines and ranges also apply to the corresponding nominal dimensions.
