Meishan, Sichuan's "sending warmth" turned out to be "not warm" and the industrial and commercial case was filed for strict investigation
The reporter learned from the Sichuan Provincial Industrial and Commercial Bureau on the 18th that The Dongpo Branch of the Meishan City Industrial and Commercial Bureau seized 2,840 pieces of low-quality cotton coats, which were intended to be sent to local mountainous areas to express condolences to poor people.
It is understood that after the Meishan City Industry and Commerce Bureau launched the "Red Shield Spring Thunder Action 2017" special action, it increased special sampling inspections and rectification of key commodities for people's livelihood. During this period, a complaint was received from the Civil Affairs Bureau of Dongpo District, saying that a batch of ordered materials for the "Going to the Grassroots and Delivering Warmth" campaign had quality problems.
After receiving the complaint, the industrial and commercial department quickly organized law enforcement personnel to launch an investigation. After investigation, this batch of materials, including quilts and cotton coats, was purchased by the Dongpo District Civil Affairs Bureau from an agricultural product wholesale company in Meishan City.
Subsequently, the local industrial and commercial department commissioned the Meishan Fiber Inspection Institute to test the purchased materials. The results showed that the cotton coat fiber identification (filler) item did not meet the GB/T2662-2008 standard. In addition, law enforcement officers also discovered that these cotton coats were "three-no products" with no factory name, no factory address, and no certification. According to the provisions of Paragraphs 1 and 2 of Article 27 of the Product Quality Law, the logo on the product or its packaging must be authentic, with a product quality inspection certificate, product name in Chinese, and the name and address of the manufacturer. The result of the random inspection was unqualified. (Reporter Liu Zhongjun Yanwei)
