ECTN certification for export to Africa customs clearance

For containers and all bulk cargo exported from ports in mainland China to some countries in West Africa, the shipper must apply for an electronic cargo tracking number from the designated agent of the government authority in mainland China before loading, and the electronic cargo tracking number shall be displayed on the bill of lading and manifest. The description part of the product name is used during customs clearance at the destination port. Otherwise, the consignee will be delayed in picking up the goods and be fined by the authorities.

According to the Act No. of the Republic of Cameroon issued in, all goods shipped to Addu/Cameroon ports must apply.
Failure to apply will be deemed to have violated the regulations of the Republic of Cameroon and will be automatically punished at the port of destination.
According to the laws of Togo, all goods shipped to the Port of Lome in Togo or transferred to other destinations through this port must apply for an electronic cargo tracking note.
According to the national law of Benin, all goods shipped to the Port of Cotonou in Benin or transferred to other destinations through this port must apply for an electronic cargo tracking note.
●Inform us of your company’s detailed contact information, such as company name in Chinese and English, address in Chinese and English, telephone and fax numbers, email address and contact person.
●Inform the shipping information, such as how many shipments were shipped in total, and the shipping details of each shipment (or the number of containers, bulk cargo or motor vehicles).
●The agent will issue an invoice to your company for remittance arrangement. The account ticket that your company remits to the agent will indicate the agent's account number and other remittance details.
● According to the regulations of the relevant authorities, the original tracking order must be issued within the day the ship leaves port.
●After the goods are shipped, your company needs to fill in the application form and email or fax it to the agent together with a copy of the bill of lading and commercial invoice so that a draft can be prepared for your company's approval. Your company must review and approve it carefully.
● After your company approves the herbal medicine, the agent will send it to the authorities for approval. No changes can be made once approved.
● The original copy (format) approved by the authorities will be emailed to your company. Your company needs to print out these documents or forward the attachments to the consignee at the unloading port, freight forwarder or shipping company, etc.
●The original copy is in five copies. The agent will inform you by email how to allocate it to the relevant units. Your company must strictly follow the instructions of the authorities for distribution.
