Some companies apply for certification of the overall quality system including various products or services of the company, and some applications only include certain or partial products (or services) quality system certification. Although the scope of products involved may be large or small, the objects of certification are all suppliers' quality systems. The certified organization is a third-party quality system evaluation organization. In order for supplier quality system certification to be fair and credible, the certification must be undertaken by a third-party organization that has no economic interest or administrative affiliation with the certified unit (supplier).
