板式换热器在公共洗浴设施中的应用:设置浴池用蓄热水槽时，为了防止蓄热水槽内的军团菌类的繁殖，必须使热水温度保持在60℃以上，并设置专用的消毒装置。此外，蓄热水槽还要定期进行清扫、消毒、故在热水槽的底面便于维护管理的位置设置排水阀。当蓄热水温度高于向浴池供水的温度时，为了调节热水温度，可采用用水稀释的方法或采用板式换热器冷却的方法。循环系统的机房设置在低于浴池底面的位置，此时循环泵没有吸入扬程，过滤器和板式换热器的空气也易于排出。由于浴池使用氯消毒，故应考虑对设备的影响，在加热循环水时，应采用耐腐蚀的换热器，而不直接用锅炉或热水器等直接加热。换热器一般采用板式换热器，加热器则常使用对运行无资格要求的真空室热水器和无压开放热水器。
