Measurement principle
The soil nucleation density meter calculates the dielectricity and density of compacted soil materials by measuring the radio high frequency between electrodes, and compares the measured dielectricity with the soil module. A soil module is a soil type-specific standard that has a specific set of pre-measured dielectric properties that represent a range of density and moisture values. After the field measurement is completed, mathematical algorithms are used to calculate the dry/wet density moisture content and the compaction percentage. The included temperature probe also increases measurement accuracy.
