The characteristics of rotary conveyor
are simple structure, small cross-sectional size, good sealing, reliable operation, low manufacturing cost, convenient for intermediate loading and unloading, and the conveying direction can be reversed. Can be transported in two opposite directions at the same time. During the transportation process, the materials can also be stirred, mixed, heated and cooled. The material flow can be adjusted through the loading and unloading gate. However, it is not suitable to transport perishable, sticky, caking and large pieces of materials. During the transportation process, materials are easily broken, and spirals and troughs are easily worn. The unit power is larger. During use, the sealing of the trough must be maintained and there should be an appropriate gap between the spiral and the trough.
According to the angle of the displacement direction of conveyed materials, screw conveyors are divided into two types: horizontal screw conveyors and vertical screw conveyors. They are mainly used for conveying various powdery granular and small pieces of loose materials. For horizontal conveying and vertical lifting, this screw conveyor is not suitable for conveying special materials that are prone to deterioration, viscosity and agglomeration or are highly corrosive due to high temperature and pressure.
