Calibrate instruments with Fujian Institute of Metrology

Fujian Institute of Metrology is affiliated to the Provincial Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau. It is a provincial statutory metrology verification institution and a Fujian Provincial Value Traceability Center established in accordance with the law and authorized by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine. Its main responsibilities are to establish social public measurement standards, carry out value transfer (traceability), undertake product type evaluation and quality supervision of measuring instruments, carry out measurement verification/calibration/testing and type evaluation of measuring instruments, as well as research on measurement technology, energy measurement and other work .

Fujian Institute of Metrology currently has eight laboratories including medical room, length room, thermal room, mechanics room, force measuring room, flow room, electrical room, chemistry room, party and government offices, human resources room Eight functional management departments, including the Resources Department, Financial Management Department, Business Development Department, Technology Management Department, Scientific Research Center, Photovoltaic Center, and Logistics Support Department, as well as the Fujian Provincial Eyewear Quality Supervision and Inspection Station approved and certified by the Provincial Quality Supervision Bureau.


In the past five years, in addition to completing the inspection of hundreds of thousands of measuring instruments every year, the Fujian Institute of Metrology has also achieved success in energy measurement, promotion and transformation of scientific research results, and exchanges and cooperation with Taiwan. It has developed by leaps and bounds and taken a gratifying step in formulating international standards. In view of this, Fujian Institute of Metrology was rated as the 10th Provincial Civilized Unit and the 11th Provincial Civilized Unit. It was rated as an advanced unit in the national quality inspection system for people's livelihood measurement work for two consecutive years.
