The Chenghua style seems to be written by a dedicated person, which is relatively standardized and the fonts are basically the same. There is a six-character double-line regular script style made in the Chenghua period of the Ming Dynasty, with a double-line square column on the outside. This style is most often written on the bottom of the cup. A few plates, bowls, and washbasins also have this style, which is generally a product of the late Chenghua period. The six-character double-line double-circle regular script inscriptions made in the Chenghua period of the Ming Dynasty are mostly on the bottom of plates, bowls, bottles and jars, and a small number are written on the center of the bowl. The six-character regular script horizontal pattern made in the Chenghua year of the Ming Dynasty was mostly used on the outside of the blue and white plate on a yellow ground and inside the goblet. There is also a special kind of jar with "Tian" written on it and no frame, commonly known as "Tian" jar.
Mr. Sun Yingzhou, an expert in ceramic appraisal, once summarized the six-character inscriptions of Chenghua into six lines: the large characters have pointed and round heads, the round heads are not high, the characters of Cheng are straight and straight, the characters of Hua have a dagger with a flat head, and the characters of Zhi have less horizontal sides. Yue Dao, tomorrow will be narrow and Ping Nian should realize it, and the character will be three, nodding, shoulders and waist.
The first sentence refers to the large characters on the mark. The second stroke has a sharp and rounded upper end, and the protrusion is not too high. The second sentence refers to the formed characters, the fifth stroke is straight and stiff, and the third stroke is straight downward and bent to the right. The third sentence means that the upper end of the word "human" and the word "dagger" are equal or higher, but the difference is not big. The fourth sentence refers to the second stroke of the word "yi" on the "zhi" character, which cannot cross the vertical knife on the right. The fifth sentence is that the Japanese characters on the left side of the indicator are mostly narrow at the top and wide at the bottom or the same at the top and bottom, which is different from the common writing method. The sixth sentence refers to the point at the end of a character, which is somewhat at the level of the head, somewhat at shoulder level, and somewhat at the waist. The above situation is the writing method for most Chenghua kiln porcelain models, but there are exceptions. That is, as long as the upper end of the second stroke of the large character is too high, the horizontal line of the writing will inevitably go beyond the outside of the knife. This writing method has a thinner and rougher stroke. However, It is extremely rare in colored porcelain. Even so, its overall style is still consistent with the aforementioned.
There is a blue and white book in a folk kiln, made in the Chenghua year of the Ming Dynasty. It has six characters and two lines. The font is sloppy and irregular, and there are double circles of blue and white of different thicknesses outside the characters. Since the founding of the Han Dynasty, blue and white in folk kilns have often been made in the next year with four characters and two rows, double circles or double lines in a square frame. In addition, there are also money for making stems and expenditures in the Jiachen (year) year, silver ingots, and Fangsheng type of picture records.
Due to the high reputation of Chenghua porcelain, there were a large number of imitations in the Ming and Qing dynasties, among which those from the Jiajing and Wanli dynasties were the most realistic. Jiajing Dynasty imitations include Chenghua double-circle six-character regular script cups and plates with infant play patterns. Among Chenghua utensils, there are no four-character inscriptions written on the Chenghua year, and there are no four-character inscriptions on black and green. All the books about Chenghua and Chenghua year are forgeries of later generations.
