How to register as a dairy importer? (Consignee registration)
Importers should apply for registration to the inspection and quarantine agency where the enterprise is registered for industry and commerce before importing food. The importer should first fill in and submit the registration application form through the AQSIQ imported food importer and exporter registration management system, providing the name, address, contact name, phone number of the consignee, name and address of the overseas production enterprise, name of the person filling out the form, telephone number, letter of commitment and other information, and shall be responsible for the authenticity of the information provided.
The inspection and quarantine agency shall review the importer’s information and relevant management systems and submit them to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine for final review. The list of importers and registration numbers of the registration management system are published on the website of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.
How do overseas exporters or agents of imported dairy products handle registration? (Consignor Registration)
Overseas exporters or agents shall apply to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine for registration, and shall be responsible for the authenticity of the registration information provided. When applying for registration, a registration application form should be filled in and submitted through the AQSIQ imported food importer and exporter registration management system, providing the name of the exporter or agent, country or region, address, contact person's name, phone number, type of food business, and filling in the form. Please provide the person's name, phone number and other information, and promise that the information provided is true and valid. Exporters or agents should ensure that in the event of an emergency, they can contact relevant personnel through the registered information.
The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine will register exporters or agents who provide complete registration information. The registration management system generates a list of registered exporters or agents and publishes it on the website of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.
Customs clearance process:
Consignee and consignor record, change orders, apply for inspection, declare customs, pay taxes, customs inspection, customs release for commodity inspection, sampling, release for commodity inspection, warehousing/picking up the goods, and issuing a health certificate if the goods pass the test.
