Spirax Sarco Trap Installation
The trap should be installed horizontally below the drainage point according to the flow direction arrow on the valve body to ensure that the float arm can rise and fall freely vertically. One of the advantages of this float trap for air and gas systems is that it does not require a relief hole to function properly. However, a separate balancing tube is required to prevent air or gas vapor lock. Make sure the balance pipe is connected upstream of the trap. Balance tubes are very important for the correct operation of the product. To facilitate maintenance, it is recommended to install a union on the balance pipe near the trap cover.
