Basic introduction
Epoxy zinc-rich primer is used for anti-corrosion and anti-rust of steel in atmospheric environment. It is suitable for sandblasting to bare steel surface. It has triple anti-rust functions of cathodic protection, corrosion inhibition and shielding. The corrosion of steel includes chemical corrosion and electrochemical corrosion. Among them, the heavy anti-corrosion field belongs to the category of electrochemical corrosion. Epoxy zinc-rich primer is different from ordinary anti-corrosion primer and can provide better electrochemical anti-corrosion effect.
As a long-lasting cathodic protection primer, the matching coating system is particularly important. Projects with anti-corrosion requirements of more than 10 years need to be equipped with intermediate paint and protective topcoat, as well as a coating film thickness that meets the design requirements.

Epoxy zinc-rich primer is mainly used for anti-corrosion protection of steel structures in heavy anti-corrosion fields. Such as bridge steel structures, iron towers, petroleum pipelines, chemical facilities, metallurgical steel structures, ports and terminals, marine facilities, construction plants, etc.
Epoxy zinc-rich primer cannot be painted on surfaces such as stainless steel, aluminum alloy, galvanized steel, etc. It is difficult to achieve good adhesion, and the paint film is easy to fall off. This paint has strict requirements on the base material and must be sandblasted. The steel surface has a certain roughness which is more conducive to construction and coating.
