It is a famous and high-quality local variety well-known at home and abroad. Known as Yantai apples and Laiyang pears, they are not as good as Weixian radish skins and are deeply loved by people. In 2017, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine approved the implementation of geographical indication product protection for Weixian radish.
