Therefore, the stainless steel surface should be thoroughly degreased and cleaned before welding.
Chemical or physical methods can usually be used to remove oil from the surface of stainless steel. Small batches of parts can be cleaned with gasoline, alcohol, etc., while large batches of parts can be cleaned with trichlorethylene or alkali.
