Supply of forged steel
Wuxi Shangguang Nuclear Power Materials Co., Ltd. was established in 2006. The company is located in Jiangxi Economic Development Park, New District, Wuxi City. After rapid development in recent years, the company has now become a steel procurement and sales company. A modern company with offices in Wuxi.
The inspection of forging quality is divided into appearance quality inspection and internal quality inspection. Generally speaking, the inspection of appearance quality is a non-destructive inspection. It can be inspected with the naked eye or a low-power magnifying glass. If necessary, non-destructive testing methods are also used. For internal quality inspections, due to the requirements of the inspection content, some must use destructive inspections, which are commonly referred to as anatomical tests, such as low-magnification inspection, fracture inspection, high-magnification tissue inspection, chemical composition analysis and mechanical property testing, etc. Some can also use non-destructive testing methods. In order to more accurately evaluate the quality of forgings, destructive testing methods and non-destructive testing methods should be combined with each other. In order to analyze the quality problems of forgings from a deep level, mechanical research work must also rely on transmission or scanning electron microscopes, electron probes, etc.
Different forging methods have different processes, among which hot die forging has the longest process. ① Uncut the forging blank. ②Heating the forging blank. ③ Roll forging preparation blank. ④Die forging. ⑤ Trimming, cutting off the flash formed by die forging excess metal, usually using a trimming die on a mechanical press to remove the flash. ⑥Intermediate inspection to inspect the size and surface defects of forgings. ⑦Forging heat treatment, the most commonly used is normalizing, which is used to eliminate forging stress, reduce hardness, refine grains, and improve metal cutting performance. ⑧Cleaning is mainly to remove surface oxide scale. Commonly used methods include sandblasting, iron shot blasting, and pickling. ⑨ Correction, to reduce the bending, distortion, etc. of forgings, usually use a drop hammer, screw press or hydraulic press to pressurize and correct the forgings placed in the correction die chamber. ⑩Inspection. Generally, forgings must undergo appearance and hardness inspection. Important forgings must also undergo chemical composition analysis, mechanical properties, residual stress and other inspections and non-destructive testing.
Usually, the inspection methods for the internal quality of forgings can be summarized as: macrostructure inspection method, microstructure inspection method, mechanical property inspection, chemical composition analysis method and non-destructive testing method.
Macrostructural inspection is an inspection that uses visual inspection or a low-magnification magnifying glass (generally the magnification is below) to observe and analyze the low-magnification structural characteristics of forging. Commonly used methods for inspecting the macrostructure of forgings include low-magnification corrosion methods (including hot corrosion methods, cold corrosion methods and electrolytic corrosion methods), fracture test methods and sulfur print methods.
The low-magnification corrosion method is used to inspect cracks, folds, shrinkage cavities, pore segregation, and white spots in forgings made of structural steel, stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, aluminum and aluminum alloys, magnesium and magnesium alloys, copper alloys, titanium alloys, etc. , loose, non-metallic inclusions, segregation and aggregation, distribution form of streamlines, grain size and distribution, etc. It's just that the etching agents and etching specifications used when showing low-magnification structures are different for different materials.
The fracture test method is used to check defects such as white spots, layering, and internal cracks in structural steel and stainless steel (except austenitic), and to check the graphite carbon of spring steel forgings and the overheating and overburning of the above-mentioned steel types. etc., for aluminum, magnesium, copper and other alloys, it is used to check whether the grains are fine and uniform, and whether there are defects such as oxide films and oxide inclusions. The sulfur printing method is mainly used in large forgings of certain structural steels to check whether the sulfur distribution is uniform and the sulfur content is. Except for structural steel and stainless steel forgings, the test pieces for low-magnification inspection do not undergo final heat treatment. Forgings of other materials generally undergo final heat treatment before low-magnification inspection.
