The components of Japan's Hitachi electric hoist are: motor, transmission mechanism, drum and sprocket.
Based on the different positions of the motor and the drum, they can be roughly divided into four types.
The electric hoist whose motor axis is perpendicular to the reel axis uses a worm gear transmission device. It is large in width, bulky in structure, low in mechanical efficiency, and difficult to process. No manufacturer has produced products with this structure.
The electric hoist whose motor axis is parallel to the drum axis has the advantage of small height and length. Its disadvantages are large width and size, complex grouping, manufacturing and assembly. The track has a large turning radius.
The electric hoist with the motor installed inside the drum has the advantages of small length and compact structure. Its main disadvantages are poor heat dissipation conditions of the motor, poor grouping, inconvenience in inspecting, installing and maintaining the motor, and complex power supply device.
The advantages of the electric hoist with the motor installed outside the drum are good grouping, high degree of generalization, easy to change the lifting height, and convenient installation and maintenance. Its disadvantage is its large length.
