How to use the internal combustion rail end grinder
Safety measures before use
Check the fuel and oil levels of the gasoline engine Is it sufficient? If not, add fuel and oil first. For specific methods, refer to the gasoline engine manual.
Before operation, first rotate the feed handwheel to the top to keep the grinding wheel away from the rail surface, then support the auxiliary support frame, start the gasoline engine, idle for a few seconds, and check whether the transmission part is flexible and whether there are any abnormal noises and threads. Are the connections loose?
The rail grinding machine is operated by one or two people, with one hand holding the profiling handwheel and the other holding the profiling frame.
When grinding, the operator must wear appropriate protective equipment, glasses, gloves, etc.
If polishing sparks fall on or are close to flammable materials, protective measures should be taken to avoid fire.
2. Operation method
According to the above prepared work, when turning the feed hand wheel clockwise, the grinding wheel will move downward.
To obtain good polishing quality, two steps must be followed.
Rough grinding should start from the rail surface. The grinder moves back and forth along the rail. Slowly lower the grinding wheel to grind the raised parts. After grinding to the off-rail surface, rotate the profiling handwheel and grind the side according to the above method.
On the basis of rough grinding, the grinder is repositioned to prepare for grinding the rail surface. When the grinder is in place, lower the grinding wheel so that it just touches the rail surface that does not need to be polished near the weld. Start grinding from the rail surface, and then rotate the profiling handwheel to grind the sides. The grinding range should reach both sides of the weld. To compensate for grinding wheel wear, the grinding wheel feed should be adjusted at any time.
After the grinding is completed, the handwheel must be rotated counterclockwise to lift the grinding wheel to facilitate grinding of the next weld, reduce the throttle, turn off the gasoline switch, stall the gasoline engine, and stop the operation.
Before going off the road, reset the copy frame and the frame vertically to ensure safe transportation.
