Program control
Many times, in some large In assembly machinery applications, you may need to perform sequential logic control of start and stop. These sequence controls ensure that your machine is stopped correctly before using the emergency stop circuit and before the protective channel is opened. Obviously, there are advantages to controlling the stop of the machine in this way. If an automated process is started, you want to allow it to finish its work before stopping the machine, especially if there is a required assembly sequence in your automated machine cycle. A controlled stop is better than using an emergency stop, so you don't have to release information from the trace, or stop in the middle of a cycle.
Here are some of the programming basics you need to understand to program logic that controls start and stop sequences. I'm going to call my master bits, and I'm going to define the launch button as well. Those master bits are used anywhere in the logic to prevent automated processes from being started again and to monitor when they have completed.
