The difference between macroscopic spalling and microscopic spalling is that the cracks are not generated on the surface, but are nucleated in deeper parts and expand to the inside along the brittle phase and defects, forming a large range of deep cracks. After the cracks converge to the surface , will cause the entire ball mill liner workpiece to break. In order to explore the occurrence and development rules of spalling, the contact fatigue damage test was conducted by simulating the contact state of the ball mill lining plate.
