My entrepreneurial journey
How far can we go on the road of entrepreneurship?
Farmer children can endure hardship. At that time, my idea was very simple: study, go to college, and get ahead. This also inherits the simplest traditional concepts of our fathers. Therefore, in the first half of the semester, I kept immersed in studying and achieved excellent results. Although, the society at that time generally disapproved of studying in vocational schools. Looking back now, I am really glad that I chose a vocational school and Liyang Vocational Education Center. Here, I broadened my horizons and discovered a new path in life. It was a recruitment meeting for a student radio station shortly after entering school. Next to a simple broadcasting equipment, the recruiting teacher told us that it was here that Dai Chunjiang, a well-known person from Liyang TV Station, took the first step in his career. At that time, I was shocked that vocational school students could achieve such a vigorous career.
At the beginning of the year, vigorous entrepreneurship education activities were carried out in the school. At this time, I was already the sports minister of the school student union and a member of the student press corps. According to the school arrangement, I followed my senior classmates to conduct a series of interviews and reports on outstanding graduates of our school.
So, I met Zhou Mingtao, a recent graduate of our school majoring in mechanical and electrical engineering. After nearly seven years of hard work, he started his own business in 2007 and founded Liyang Guangming Lubricating Oil Factory. In just two years, it had fixed assets of 10,000 yuan.
So, I got to know Jiang Lianhua, an outstanding graduate in financial and accounting management. He successively founded the Triumph Motorcycle Shop and the Triumph Fishing Port, and now operates Lishui Pinghu Villa as a sole proprietor, with assets worth tens of millions. Gradually, I became more and more confused. Is it really the only way to make a career in college? Thinking of the difficulties at home and the hard work of my parents, should I let my family bear such hardships on me for another five or six years? If I learn skills, won’t I be able to make a career?
Finally, something happened in May of that year that prompted me to make a decision. At the flag-raising ceremony that day, Teacher Wang from the school’s practical training office made a speech. He informed the whole school of a female student from our school who had just completed her internship in Suzhou. In a mid-level selection that many people signed up for in the company, despite having the lowest academic qualifications, she finally stood out and became the assistant to the general manager, and quickly independently paid off the 20,000 yuan debt her family borrowed for her education

Invested and founded in partnership. Xinjingwei Mold Manufacturing Factory is now a sole proprietorship of the factory. It mainly produces and operates two series of plastic molds and aluminum alloy die-casting molds with more than ten varieties, with a total annual output value of 10,000 yuan. A few days ago, I acquired all the shares from my partners. Today, this Xinjingwei Mold Manufacturing Factory, with total assets of over RMB 10,000 and many employees, completely belongs to me. In just over a month, it will be my first birthday. Sitting in a comfortable office, I know that this moment of tranquility is a rare enjoyment for me. Entrepreneurial awareness sprouted during study. When I applied for vocational school, it was mostly out of helplessness. The family is too poor. Compared with ordinary high schools, vocational high schools charge lower fees. More importantly, the comprehensive high school classes in vocational schools at that time also participated in the national unified college entrance examination, just like ordinary high schools.
