Can I watch ordinary content on the TV?
Yes, you can watch regular shows on your TV (and if you're chuckling to yourself as you read this, don't forget that your friends and family will probably start asking you the same question during the holiday shopping season).
Some application software and devices provide support for upconverting signal sources into formats, but currently this support mainly comes from Hisense TV and Blu-ray player products. The latest version of brr can also upconvert to the format, and the effect is passable. Upconversion mode may not make you want to re-watch all Blu-ray movies, but it's at least a good start.
