Mongolia's main crops include wheat, potatoes, cabbage, radish, onions, garlic, rape, etc. Mongolia relies on imported grain and vegetables. The production of wheat and potatoes can basically meet domestic demand, and the production of vegetables can basically meet domestic demand.
China is the world's largest meat consumer. In recent years, the prices of beef and mutton have continued to rise. At present, our country has established cooperative relations with many countries in the livestock industry. Livestock products come from a wide range of sources, but the long transportation distance increases the cost and difficulty of transportation. Mongolia is known as the kingdom of animal husbandry. It is adjacent to China and has obvious geographical advantages. The governments of China and Mongolia attach great importance to the economic and trade exchanges between the two countries, and the two sides have broad prospects for cooperation in the fields of animal husbandry, deep processing of livestock products, planting, and new agricultural technologies. On the one hand, Mongolia has great advantages in developing animal husbandry. Its good natural ecological environment provides a good foundation for the development of animal husbandry. The country has also had a strong demand for the development of animal husbandry in recent years. On the other hand, Mongolia’s agriculture and animal husbandry The level of intensive industrial development is not high and the construction of relevant supporting infrastructure is imperfect. Therefore, it is in the interests of both countries for China to invest in the development of livestock industry in Mongolia and provide support for the modernization of its livestock industry.
In the context of regional economic cooperation and South-South cooperation projects between China and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, China and Mongolia are actively carrying out agricultural and animal husbandry cooperation between the two countries. As Mongolia's largest trading partner and investor, China can enjoy preferential policies on specific projects such as agricultural and livestock processing and semi-processing. However, the breadth and depth of cooperation in agriculture and animal husbandry are not enough. The import and export trade of agricultural products is still the main focus, and all-round cooperation has not yet been formed. The complementarity of the trade structures of agricultural resources and agricultural products between the two countries has laid a solid foundation for the two countries to carry out in-depth agricultural cooperation. The agricultural cooperation between China and Mongolia will not only help China make full use of Mongolian agricultural resources, but also help Chinese enterprises actively seize the opportunity to develop agriculture and animal husbandry in the Mongolian market.
Agriculture and animal husbandry account for nearly half of Mongolia’s economic activities. However, Mongolia’s agriculture and animal husbandry has a low development level, backward production technology, and is still dominated by extensive agriculture and animal husbandry. As a result, there is a strong demand for grain, vegetables, fruits, poultry meat, and eggs. There are huge business opportunities in cooperation between my country and Mongolia in agriculture and animal husbandry. For example, cooperation in agricultural water conservancy, modern development of animal husbandry, cooperation in high-tech, high-yield breeding and breeding industries, etc. After decades of reform and opening up, my country's scientific and technological level has developed rapidly. Planting, breeding, food processing, wool spinning, processing and manufacturing, advanced machinery and equipment, and agricultural technology are extremely rich in labor resources, all of which contribute to China-Mongolia agriculture and animal husbandry. In recent years, the Mongolian government has attached great importance to agricultural production, taken effective measures to increase support for agricultural products, and ensured the stable development of agricultural production. Agriculture is currently the industry with the lowest development level and the most urgent need in Mongolia. Infrequent fertilization in crop cultivation results in weeds, pests and diseases, and reduced soil fertility. On ordinary farms in Mongolia, the planting industry is basically at a low level of relying on the weather for food and planting. At present, Mongolia is at a critical stage of implementing the third revitalization of the planting industry. The Chinese government should take advantage of the situation and actively promote my country's advanced agricultural new technologies to Mongolia to conserve water resources and improve the environment. Mongolia has abundant land resources and the agricultural machinery market has great potential. On the one hand, the agricultural machinery equipment on many farms is seriously aging and is in urgent need of updating. On the other hand, there are no agricultural machinery manufacturing companies in the country, and they basically rely on imports.

Research and develop agricultural equipment, water-saving irrigation facilities, standardized livestock breeding technology, and agricultural and sideline product processing machinery and equipment that meet the needs of local planting production, and support the export of my country's seed cultivation technology, organic fertilizers, domestic agricultural machinery, and livestock breeding technology to Mongolia. From March to July, President Xi Jinping paid a state visit to Mongolia. The two countries and their companies signed more than 3 cooperation documents. The relationship between the two countries was upgraded to a comprehensive strategic partnership, marking that the development of the relationship between the two countries has reached a new level. level.
