The selectivity for heavy metal ions in various industrial processes and wastewater treatment processes is much higher than that of alkaline earth metal and alkali metal ions. Iminodiacetic acid functional groups (so-called half-structures) attached to the micromesh structure make it similarly selective for metal ions. The resin structure has excellent dynamic properties and can remove heavy metal ions from high-concentration sodium or calcium salt solutions with extremely low leakage. The micro-mesh structure also gives it excellent resistance to osmotic pressure impact, good mechanical strength, and extremely low breakage rate after repeated expansion and contraction during the acid-base transformation process.
Mainly used for the purification of saturated brine in the chlor-alkali industry, electronic industry (printed circuit board) wastewater treatment, purification of water containing trace amounts of heavy metal ions, electroplating wastewater treatment, and recovery of heavy metal ions from hydrometallurgical filtrate.
