2. Avoid not supplying fuel according to regulations. The diesel engine should not put the decompression handle in the working position before supplying fuel when starting. Excess diesel will wash away the cylinder wall, worsening the lubrication between the piston ring and the cylinder liner, aggravating wear. The flow of residual oil into the oil pan will dilute the engine oil and reduce the lubrication effect. Too much oil in the cylinder will Incomplete combustion of diesel fuel will form carbon deposits.
Three avoidances: Pulling and starting a diesel engine. Pulling and starting a diesel engine when the engine oil is viscous when the engine is cold will increase the wear between the moving parts, thereby reducing the service life of the locomotive.
Four taboos: Failure to replace lubricating oil and fuel on schedule. In cold weather seasons, if lubricating oil and fuel with low viscosity are not replaced in time, it will be difficult for the diesel engine to start.
5. Avoid using an open flame to bake the oil pan and ignite the fire at the intake pipe. To prevent fire, use a slow coal fire to bake the oil pan of the diesel engine at a certain distance, and at the same time slowly shake the oil shaft to let it The engine oil is heated evenly so that all parts are lubricated. If a fire is started at the intake pipe of a diesel engine, ashes and hard debris produced by burning substances will be sucked into the cylinder, causing the intake and exhaust valves to not close tightly and accelerating the wear of the cylinder.
6. Avoid using the glow plug flame preheater for a long time. The heating element of the glow plug flame preheater is an electric heating wire, which consumes a lot of power and generates a lot of heat. Long-term use may damage the battery due to rapid discharge. , it can also burn out the heating wire. Therefore, the continuous use time of the glow plug should not exceed minutes, and the continuous use time of the flame preheater should be controlled within seconds.
7. Do not directly add engine oil to the cylinder. Although adding engine oil to the cylinder can seal, pressurize and increase temperature, which facilitates the cold start of the diesel engine, the oil cannot be completely burned, and it is easy to produce carbon deposits, which will reduce the elasticity of the piston ring. It weakens and the sealing performance of the cylinder decreases. In addition, it also accelerates the wear of the cylinder liner, causing the power of the diesel engine to decrease and making it more difficult to start. Therefore, engine oil cannot be added directly to the cylinder.
Avoid pouring gasoline directly into the intake pipe. The ignition point of gasoline is lower than that of diesel and burns before diesel. Therefore, pouring gasoline directly into the intake pipe will cause the engine to work roughly and cause strong cylinder knocking. In severe cases, the engine may reverse.
9. Avoid starting continuously for a long time. The engine on the diesel engine works at low voltage and high current. Long-term use will damage the battery. Its continuous working time shall not exceed 1 second. If it fails to start once, it should be restarted every second.
Ten taboos: Run at high speed as soon as the diesel engine is started. When the diesel engine is just started, the temperature of the lubricating oil is low and the fluidity is poor.
