Anionic polyacrylamide is a water-soluble polymer. Because its molecular chain contains a certain number of polar groups, it can adsorb solid particles suspended in water to bridge the particles or aggregate the particles to form large flocs through charge neutralization. Four Usage Methods
When using, prepare a concentrated aqueous solution. It is advisable to use neutral water without salts and impurities.
When dissolving, evenly sprinkle the anionic polyacrylamide product into the stirring water, and control the stirring speed. Appropriate heating can speed up dissolution.
Adjust the value of the liquid to be treated so that the anionic polyacrylamide product can fully exert its effect. Select the best value and the dosage of this series of products through experiments.
When adding anionic polyacrylamide product solution, the mixing with the liquid to be treated should be accelerated. When flocs appear, the stirring speed should be slowed down to facilitate the growth of flocs and accelerate settlement.
Five principles of use
The use of polyacrylamide should follow the following principles
Granular polyacrylamide flocculant cannot be added directly to sewage. It must be dissolved in water before use, and its aqueous solution can be used to treat sewage.
The water used to dissolve the granular polymer should be clean such as tap water and not sewage. Normal temperature water is enough and generally does not need to be heated. Dissolution is very slow when the water temperature is lower than ℃. Increasing the water temperature will speed up the dissolution rate, but above ℃ will accelerate the degradation of the polymer and affect the use effect. Generally, tap water is suitable for preparing polymer solutions. Water with strong acid, strong alkali and high salt content is not suitable for preparation.
To select the concentration of the polymer solution, Lebon recommends adduct powder in 1 liter of water.
