Steps for filling the ball valve with valve cleaning fluid
If possible, operate the valve to determine its condition. The action of the ball will help dislodge debris and buildup from inside the valve.
Place the valve in the fully open or fully closed position.
Determine the number of valve seat sealing grease nozzles. Usually there is one or more nozzles.
Find your valve type, size and usage from the usage card. The total usage of your valve is the minimum amount of cleaning fluid to be filled.
Divide the total amount by the total number of two seat seal grease nozzles. You should inject valve cleaning fluid into a valve seat through a seal grease nozzle. Then use the same steps to clean the other valve seat. Remember to mark the hydraulic injection gun to record the amount you inject. Measured from the thread of the injection gun in ounces per inch. Retry the cleaning procedure until sufficient valve cleaning fluid has been injected.

There is no limit on how long cleaning fluid can be retained in the seat area.
