Be careful not to scratch the mirror surface. Take a few drops of milk and place it on the mirror of the test window. Cover the lighting plate so that the test solution is spread all over the mirror. Point the test window toward the light source or a bright place. Turn the focusing handle to make the scale clear. Observe the scale aligned with the dividing line between light and dark. To measure the value, wipe the test window with lens cleaning paper after the measurement.
