Arc extinguishing principle
The vacuum arc extinguishing chamber equipped with the circuit breaker has an extremely high degree of vacuum. When the moving and static contacts are charged and opened under the action of the operating mechanism, an electric shock will be generated between the contacts. The arc, at the same time, generates an appropriate longitudinal magnetic field in the contact gap, which keeps the vacuum arc in a diffusion type, allows the arc to burn evenly on the contact surface, and maintains a low arc voltage. When the current naturally crosses zero, the remaining ions, electrons and metal vapor can recombine or gather on the contact surface and shield in a time of the order of microseconds. 3. Working principle
The circuit breaker is operated by a spring operating mechanism. The closing spring is stored with energy by a motor or manually. When closing, the closing spring releases energy, prompting the main shaft to move, completing closing. At the same time, the opening latch holds the half shaft to keep the circuit breaker in the closed state. When opening, the half shaft is rotated, the opening latch is tripped, and the opening spring drives the three-phase main shaft of the circuit breaker to move, causing the dynamic and static contacts of the vacuum arc extinguishing chamber to open, thereby opening the circuit breaker.
