Open mixer (open rubber mixing machine)

Open mixer is the abbreviation of open type plastic mixing machine. In plastic products factories, people are accustomed to calling it a two-roller machine. The open mill is a relatively early type of plastic mixing equipment used in plastic product manufacturers. In the calender production line, the open mill is in front of the calender and after the mixer. Its function is to mix and plasticize the uniformly mixed raw materials, and provide a relatively uniform molten material for the calender to roll and mold the plastic products. When producing cable materials, the open mill can directly refining the powdered materials mixed according to the formula into molten materials, and then press-molding them into sheet-like ribbons, which can then be cut into granular shapes by the pelletizer. In the floor leather production line, the base coating can be directly mixed and plasticized evenly for cloth-based leather. The recycled waste plastic films (sheets) can also be re-refined in an open mill.
The main working parts are two hollow rollers or drilled rollers that rotate inward in opposite directions. The one installed on the operator's side is called the front roller. It can be moved forward and backward horizontally by manual or electric action to adjust the roller distance. The rear roller is fixed to meet the operating requirements and cannot move forward or backward. The two rollers are generally the same size and rotate relative to each other at different speeds. The raw rubber or rubber material is drawn into the gap between the two rollers as the rollers rotate, and is subjected to strong shearing to achieve the purpose of plasticizing or mixing.
