The specifics of food silicone are as follows:
First apply a layer of release agent or barrier agent on the product or model to be copied, and then take a certain amount of silicone and curing agent (it is best to use an electronic scale (to weigh), stir evenly, and evacuate. Do not evacuate for too long. Apply the silicone on the product (note: it must be applied evenly). After waiting for 3 minutes, the colloid will undergo a glue reaction. Then apply the silicone evenly for the second time. At this time, a layer of gauze or fiberglass weft cloth is pasted on the surface to increase strength, and then a third layer of silica gel is applied. After the silica gel is dry, the outer mold can be made. The outer mold can use materials such as gypsum or resin.
Note: After applying a layer of silica gel, it is best to wait for the silica gel to cross-link and then apply a layer of silica gel instead of immediately pasting gauze or fiberglass cloth. The reason is: generally the coating is relatively thin, especially The fiberglass cloth is relatively hard and can easily make the inner layer of the mold smoother, thus affecting the effect of replicating the product.
How to operate food silicone molding (pouring mold):
For relatively smooth or simple products, surround them with rubber plates or glass plates. Take a certain amount of silicone and curing agent and mix them evenly. Pour the vacuumed silica gel directly onto the product. After the silica gel is dried and formed, take out the product and the mold will be formed (note: the molding generally uses softer silica gel to make the mold, which makes it easier to demould and will not damage the silicone mold. products inside).
How to make food silicone outer mold:
The generally used method and material is to surround the mold with plastic boards or wooden boards. Once the mold cabinet is filled with gypsum, another Using resin painting method, apply a layer of resin and then paste a layer of fiberglass cloth. After painting and pasting, repeat two or three layers.
Note: When making a sheet mold, you must make an outer mold, because the mold made from a sheet mold is relatively easy to deform, so an outer mold should be used to prevent the mold from deforming.
