⑧How to make silicone for handmade soap molds
Use a plastic bowl to hold the glue, add curing agent at room temperature, stir well and set aside.
Treat and lubricate the original mold with release agent.
The lubricated original mold should be surrounded by wooden strips. The wooden strips should also be treated with release agent, leaving a gap in the middle.
. Slowly pour the prepared glue along a fixed pouring point, and shake it from time to time to eliminate the air inside. After the minute glue is completely cured, surround it with wooden strips, leaving a gap, and remove the original wooden strips.
Mix the gypsum powder with water and then pour it into the wooden frame until it is full (the wooden frame should be divided into two parts with plastic sheets to facilitate mold removal).
After a few minutes, remove the wooden strips and the mold will be completed.
Note:
The amount of curing agent added should depend on the temperature. If the temperature is high, it will be reduced. If you use too much curing agent, the mold will become hard and brittle. If you use too little curing agent, the operating time will be extended.
In order to prevent the physical properties of the mold silicone from changing, it is recommended not to add silicone oil.
In order to achieve the best use of your mold, please store the mold for at least an hour before use.
