Working principle of screw conveyor
When the material is added from the feed port to the spiral shaft and rotates, the material is subject to the normal thrust of the spiral blade. The radial component of the thrust and the friction force of the blades on the material may bring the material to rotate around the axis. However, due to the gravity of the material itself and the friction force of the trough on the material, it does not rotate together with the spiral blades but in the normal direction of the blades. It moves forward along the axis of the trough under the action of the axial component of thrust.
