/Photoelectric smoke detectors are designed to protect open areas and must be used with a compatible four-wire controller. Detector operation and sensitivity can be tested on site. As a self-locking detector, when the alarm is locked, it must be reset by momentarily interrupting the power supply. / There is a light-emitting diode on the photoelectric smoke detector as a display on the detector site. If the detector is powered on and in normal monitoring status, it will flash once per second. In the alarm state, the lock will remain on until the detector is reset. / Photoelectric smoke detector contains a pair of normally open contacts (type) for connection to the alarm control circuit, and a set of normally open/normally closed auxiliary contacts (type). Monitoring of the detector's power supply is accomplished by installing a power supply monitoring terminal relay at the end of the detector's power supply loop. When current is applied to and flows through the detector, the terminal power supply monitoring module is powered on, and its relay contacts are closed to form a closed series circuit in the alarm loop of the controller. Once the power is lost or the detector circuit is disconnected, the terminal module will lose power, the relay contacts will disengage and trigger a fault signal to the controller.
