Simple structure: The pump itself is composed of only three screws, but it has a variety of structures. Generally, the flow rate is small../The pump body and bushing of the pump are combined It is a horizontal installation, and the shaft seal is a mechanical seal. The pump bushing for medium flow and above is a separate part fixed in the pump body. Large flow pumps are mostly made of double suction structure. Depending on the medium being transported, the shaft has two types: end mechanical seal and packing seal. The prime mover of the marine pump is an AC marine motor.
Long life: The main screw of the three-screw pump is driven by an electric motor. There is a layer of oil film protection between the master and slave screws, and between the screw and the bushing. Since the mechanical friction of the pump is extremely small, its lifespan can be called semi-permanent.
The transported liquid moves axially in a straight line at a uniform speed in the pump, so the pressure pulsation is small, the flow is stable, and the noise is low. Since the inertia of the rotating part is small, the starting torque and vibration are very small.
Has high suction capacity.
In order to ensure the safety of the pump, motor and pipeline system, screw pumps with medium flow and above are equipped with safety valves. When the pressure exceeds the set pressure of the safety valve, the high-pressure oil will flow back to the inlet of the pump. Figure shows the two structural schematics with and without safety valve.
