Chemical properties This product is used as an antifungal drug, and its nitrate is generally used. Nitrate is a white crystalline powder with a melting point of ℃. Easily soluble in methanol, slightly soluble in methanol, insoluble in ethanol, acetone, chloroform, ethyl acetate, benzene and cyclohexane. Odorless and tasteless.
Usage: It is an imidazole broad-spectrum antifungal drug. It has good antibacterial activity against Cryptococcus neoformans, Candida, Coccidioides, Histoplasma and Odontogenum dermatitidis. It is effective against trichophyton and dermatophytes, but has poor effect on molds and some white cocci.
