The performance parameters mainly include flow pressure, power efficiency and speed. In addition, the size of noise and vibration is also the main technical indicator of the ventilator. Flow rate, also known as air volume, is expressed in terms of the volume of gas flowing through the ventilator per unit time. Pressure, also called wind pressure, refers to the pressure rise value of gas in the ventilator, which can be divided into static pressure, dynamic pressure and total pressure. The total pressure is equal to the difference between the total pressure of the air flow on the outlet section and the inlet section of the fan. The static pressure is equal to the difference between the static pressure of the air flow on the outlet section and the inlet section of the fan. The differential pressure refers to the dynamic pressure of the average speed of the air flow on the outlet section of the fan. The total pressure of airflow on the same cross-section is equal to the sum of static pressure and dynamic pressure. Power refers to the input power of the fan, that is, the shaft power. The ratio of the ventilator's effective power to its shaft power is called efficiency. The full pressure efficiency of the ventilator can be reached.
There is a certain functional relationship between parameters such as flow, wind pressure, power and efficiency. When one of the parameters changes, other quantities will also change. Drawing the relationship between them is called a performance curve. The shape of the performance curve depends on the type of ventilator. Changing the air volume and air pressure of the ventilator to meet the requirements of changing operating conditions is called performance adjustment. There are several commonly used adjustment methods. ① Install a throttle valve or damper in the intake pipe or exhaust pipe to control the flow. This method is the simplest but has poor adjustment effect. ②A deflector is installed in front of the impeller inlet to change the air flow direction. ③Change the fan speed. This method has the best economic performance but is more complicated. Changing the speed requires consideration of impeller strength and motor load conditions. ④Change the impeller width. It can make the use efficiency of the fan change little but be more complicated when the working conditions change
