1. Overview
Compensator for high-voltage combined electrical appliances is used as a connecting part between two adjacent equipment shells. Connecting components are mainly used for installation and adjustment, compensation for relative displacement between foundations, and compensation for displacement caused by thermal expansion and contraction. Ordinary expansion joints are mostly used under high stress (i.e. large displacement) and low number of cycles, while this compensator is used under low stress (i.e. small displacement) and high number of cycles. Since the bracket of the combined electrical appliance has a small bearing capacity, a pressure balance structure must be designed to rely on the elastic force of the disc spring to balance the blind plate force generated by the internal pressure to reduce the stress on the bracket. The air tightness requirements are extremely high. The combined electrical appliances are filled with expensive gases, which will cause annual air leakage. Otherwise, the reliability of the product operation will be reduced, the frequency of air replenishment will be increased, and in serious cases, the system will be shut down for maintenance. As an electrical component, the compensator requires the inner surface to be smooth without any sharp points, otherwise discharge will occur and affect the insulation performance of the product.
