When replacing the worm gear and the radial ball bearing on the upper part of the worm gear shaft, first remove the gasket pressed against the center of the disc and pass through the two holes on the top of the disc support. Pull out the disk support and disk together through the wire hole, then remove the pulley cover and take out the V-belt to remove the worm gear reducer for inspection.
When replacing the radial ball bearing or thrust bearing at the bottom of the worm gear shaft, it is not necessary to remove the entire worm gear box. You only need to tighten the three maintenance screws at the bottom of the disc sleeve until you feel that the disc is supported. After the three screws are firmly attached to the disc and main shaft, the bearing cover at the bottom of the reducer can be disassembled. After removing the thrust bearing cover, the bearing sleeve can be pushed out of the radial ball through the three disassembly holes on the bearing sleeve. The bearings are also brought out together with the bearing sleeves. After replacing the new bearing, the disassembly screw at the lower part of the disc sleeve must be removed before test running.
When replacing the worm or the bearings at both ends of the worm, just open the glands at both ends and remove the sleeve and the bearing together through the disassembly holes in the bearing sleeve. The worm can then be easily taken out of the bearing hole.
When installing the worm gear reducer, the sealing groove on the reducer cover should be filled with yellow dry oil.
