Working principle of capacitive level switch
The product uses the probe sensing electrode of the switch and the ground electrode of the barrel wall as the two plates of the capacitor. When the medium between the two plates of the capacitor changes, its The capacitance value will also change. The unique analysis and processing unit of the level switch detects the size of this change. When the change value reaches the set value of the switch, the switch signal is output for control use, thus reflecting the measured value. The level of the media or material interface.

Capacitive level switch installation matters
Level switches are usually installed side-mounted on the side of the warehouse wall It is installed on the side wall of the warehouse body to detect the upper and lower limit positions of the material level. When it is inconvenient to open a hole on the side of the warehouse body, the top-mounted installation method can be used on the top of the warehouse.
When side-mounting, the threaded installation pipe should be as short as possible, so that the threaded end of the probe is flush with the inner wall of the slot to avoid material accumulation at the root.
When top-loading, the distance between the electrode and the warehouse wall should be greater than 100, and the position should be selected to avoid the impact of materials during feeding.
When the silo wall is made of concrete, the level switch housing should be reliably connected to the steel bars. When the silo wall is made of non-metallic material, an auxiliary probe should be installed.
When measuring solid powder or block materials with a large specific gravity, the probe should be fixed to prevent the material from pushing the probe away from its normal position. When measuring liquids, if there is a stirring device, the cable probe should also be fixed.
When disassembling the level switch, users are prohibited from holding the housing with their hands and twisting it. They should use a wrench to twist the hexagonal bolts.
Notes on Selection of Capacitive Level Switch
The probe length of the level switch should be between 1 and 2, which is a rod type probe. If the probe length exceeds, cable probes can be used.
When used to detect materials with dielectric constants such as plastics, the probe length should not be shorter than . When checking the dielectric constant of non-metal silos or materials, an auxiliary probe is required.
When there are high-power equipment on site, the best power supply method should be used.
